Inside each Flexi pack, you’ll find a once-use Flexi Access Code to unlock access to the digital Flexi Program tools, including your personalised meal plan, Virtual Consultations, recipes and weight loss tracking tools.
Q: Help! I can’t find a participating pharmacy in my area!
A: The best thing you can do is speak to one of your local pharmacies and express your interest in starting the Impromy Health & Weight Loss Program. Encourage them to offer Impromy and to get in touch with us about becoming part of the Impromy Program. The number of participating Impromy pharmacies is ever-growing, so keep checking the store locator (and stay tuned for updates on social media) for newly added pharmacies. Don’t forget to let us know that you’re looking for a participating pharmacy in your area, so we can do everything we can to make it happen.
Q: Is the Impromy Program membership a lifetime membership?
A: It certainly is! The $49.95 Membership Pack cost provides you with membership for life. Clients are always welcome in store to re-start the program at any time without any additional fees.
Q: Is exercise a required part of the Impromy or Flexi programs?
A: No. Although we do encourage you to exercise as part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you will still lose weight even if you choose not to do any exercise. If regular physical activity is added to the Impromy or Flexi programs, clients can usually expect to see improved weight loss results, as well as many other health benefits.
Q: Do meal replacement shakes work?
A: Yes. The Impromy and Flexi meal replacement shakes have been scientifically formulated to provide a proven nutritional balance of proteins, fats, carbohydrates and dietary fibres. Impromy meal replacement shakes are compliant with the Australian and New Zealand Food Standards Code (FSANZ) and made using only the highest quality ingredients. Best of all, they taste great.
Q: Help! I can’t find the Impromy App when searching the Apple App Store on my iPad?
A: If you are trying to find and download the Impromy App on your iPad, you simply need to ensure that ‘iPad only’ (which is the default search setting for iPads) is changed to ‘iPhone only’, when performing a search for ‘Impromy’ on the App Store. The Impromy iOS App has been designed as an iPhone App, but can be used on iPad. So unfortunately it won’t show up under the default search setting of ‘iPad only’.
Q: Can I sign into my Impromy App account on multiple devices?
A: Yes, if both devices are connected to the internet. The information that you give the app about your food and weight is stored online and will appear on new devices when you log in. Press the Sync with Server button on the Settings page to ensure that all of your information is transferred to our server and onto your other devices. Note that depending on the amount of information stored on your device this could take up to 24 hours to synchronise. You must be connected to the internet to use the Sync to Server function.
Q: Should I take a multivitamin?
A: While you are on the program, you will be getting all of the vitamins and minerals that the human body normally requires. You can use a vitamin supplement if you have a deficiency in any particular area, or want a specific vitamin supplement. However, you don’t need to take a general-purpose multivitamin while you are on the program.
Q: Is the Impromy Program suitable for a Halal diet?
A: Yes. The program has Halal Certification Authority. All Impromy meal replacements and snack bars are Halal compliant.
Q: Can I replace all of my meals to get faster weight loss?
A: The program is designed to provide long-term weight management. Eating normal foods is an important part of losing and maintaining weight over a longer period of time. We don’t recommend replacing all your food with meal replacement products.
Q: Is it OK to put my children on the program?
A: The program is designed for people 16 years old and over. People under 16 years old have different energy requirements, as they are still developing. It is OK to cook the recipes for the whole family, but the meal replacement products shouldn’t be used by people under 16 years old.
Q: Is it OK to use the program when pregnant?
A: The Impromy and Flexi programs are not recommended when you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the meal plans may not contain enough nutrients to support the needs of both mum and baby.
Q: Is it OK to drink alcohol?
A: Alcohol is OK on the program in moderation during certain phases. Read the program guide or talk to your Impromy Consultant for more information.
Q: I have diabetes, can I use the program?
A: If you are diabetic, we would recommend that you talk to your GP or health professional before changing your diet dramatically. In general, people with Type 1 diabetes should avoid making changes to their diet and should not start the program. People with Type 2 diabetes should talk to their GP or health professional, but will normally be able to get great results on the Impromy program.
Q: How many Meal Replacement Shakes will be incorporated into my tailored Impromy or Flexi Meal Plan?
A: Both the Impromy and Flexi programs are individualised to your age, weight, height and gender so you get the correct amount of energy to lose weight safely. This means some people are on 2 shakes a day, others up to 4. As you progress through the program and lose weight, your program and meal plan will be reassessed and adjusted accordingly.
Q: What can I add to my shakes?
A: You may choose to add some Free Foods list flavourings to your meal replacement drink. If so, those suggested are diet topping, diet jelly, essence drops or coffee etc. Chilling/blending with ice to make a frappé style drink may also improve the flavour for some individuals.
Q: What if I am feeling hungry?
A: If you start to feel hungry and you have already eaten your allowances first try to distract yourself or have a glass of water. If the cravings remain choose something from the Free Food list.
Q: Can the Flexi Program help reduce my blood pressure and cholesterol?
A: Yes. Weight loss and a healthy eating plan should contribute to reducing these health risk factors.
Q: Is the Flexi Program the same as a VLCD program?
A: No. The Flexi Program is a low kilojoule/calorie Intermittent Fasting program that is designed to be incorporated with a higher protein meal, and free vegetables. Very Low Calorie Diets (VLCD) are designed to be for short term weight loss and the VLCD meal replacements are generally consumed alone or with very little whole foods.
Q: What is the sweetener in the meal replacements?
A: Stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from plant and natural fructose produced from fruit.
Q: So I can have as many free foods as I like?
A: Although these foods are classed as “free” foods, outside of your main meals these are foods that you should only reach for if you are truly feeling hungry. They do contain some calories so large consumption (e.g. 6 cups of soup a day) will result in excess calorie consumption and potentially slow your weight loss.
Q: Can I heat or freeze the meal replacements?
A: Yes, you can prepare the meal replacement in your shaker and then place into a cup and warm it before drinking. DO NOT place hot milk or hot water in the shaker to prepare your meal replacement. You can also prepare the shake and place in the freezer to chill to a slushie consistency.
Q: Can I mix my shake with water?
A: No, the meal replacement shakes are designed to be mixed with 250mls of reduced fat or skim milk or a milk alternative e.g. soy, rice, almond, oat milk, this is key to ensuring your nutritional needs are met. Water can be added to the shakes AS WELL AS the milk. This will reduce the sweetness and thickness.
Q: If I am on Flexi can I have one-on-one consultations in the pharmacy?
A: The Flexi program comes with virtual consultations. However, if you want one-on-one consultations as well, simply head to your Impromy pharmacy and join the full Impromy program. This means you can enjoy both Impromy and Flexi and have access to the full consultations no matter which program you are on.
